New Alpine Library

The new Alpine Library is the County of San Diego's first Zero Net Energy building. Using state of the art technology, it offers the community more services and more hours in a building that is 4 times the size of the current facility. The new library opened on May 17, 2016, with a Grand Opening held on May 21, 2016. It offers a host of services that empower and educate the community, including storytime everyday, programs for all ages, and free access to a network of 42 million books, DVD movies, and music CDs.

The American Institute of Architects San Diego, in cooperation with SDG&E's Savings by Design program, will present a professional development/continuing education tour of the Alpine Library on November 7, 2017. The tour will be followed by an informal panel to dig deeper into specific attributes of the building. For more information and to register, please visit the Savings by Design Tour Series web page.
