Ramona Library opens new technology center

A new state-of-the-art Technology Center is open in Ramona! The Ramona Library hosted a Ribbon Cutting Celebration for the Dick Wayman Technology Center on April 30. Wayman was the founding President of the Library Foundation of San Diego County and a longtime supporter of libraries at the local, state, and national level. The Dick Wayman Technology Center provides community access to the latest and greatest resources, including iPads, laptops, and a MakerBot 3D Printer that is able to create 3D sculptures from design software. EnvisionWare Mobile Print is also available, which allows patrons to send documents to a print station in their library from anywhere outside the library on their smartphone, tablet, or computer. The Ramona Branch will be hosting a variety of new programs at the Technology Center. Visit www.sdcl.org/DWTC for information.
