Solana Beach Library holds Reading Challenge for local students

The Solana Beach Library has held a twice yearly Reading Challenge since 2007. All of the students who read at least 1,000 pages during each of the two semesters at Earl Warren Middle School can attend a movie party during their English period. The library provides all sorts of fun treats, and they don't have to go to class or make up their work. Any student who reads over 10,000 pages gets a gift card for Barnes and Noble. The program is funded by the Earl Warren PTSA and the Friends of the Solana Beach Library. This past spring semester, there were 307 students participating.
