SDCL Goes Mobile
SDCL is going mobile with a new free application that lets you use smartphones, tablets and ebook readers to visit the library. Browse through the digital book stacks, check your account, request or renew items without ever stepping foot in a library branch or logging onto your home computer.

Lemon Grove Library Grand Opening
Lemon Grove Library
June 1 • 10 a.m.
A formal Grand Opening ceremony will be followed by a block party with activities for all ages. Join us inside the library for henna and sparkle tattoos, music, cake, crafts and a photo booth (you bring the camera; we'll provide the fun props!). Lemon Grove's HEAL Zone will be hosting activities, health screenings, and more from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the nearby Lemon Grove Recreation Center, and the Lemon Grove Rotary Club will have a Fun Run at 11 a.m. with festival activities taking place through 5 p.m.

Teen Battle of the Bands
Have you always wanted to make some noise in the library? Now is your chance! This summer, SDCL is hosting its 4th annual teen Battle of the Bands competition. Teens can enter their bands into the competition between now and June 21 by submitting an application and demo to the library.

San Diego Legends
Rancho San Diego Library

San Diego County Library and Aging & Independence Services present the unveiling of San Diego Legends: Living Well, an art and photography exhibit featuring San Diego elders who lead by example. The reception will include performances by Soaring Eagles and Ballet Folklorico Aquetzalli of Lemon Grove.

Muslim Journeys Bookshelf
San Diego County Library has been selected by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association to receive the Muslim Journeys Bookshelf. This program aims to familiarize public audiences in the United States with the people, places, history, faith and cultures of Muslims in the United States and around the world.
