Gerrie Stoll is the heart, soul, and memory of the Lakeside branch library. Having volunteered for 16 years, Gerrie does it all: shelving, book drop, request lists, and more for 20 hours every week.

2010 Library Friends Essay Contest

Adults, teens and children are invited to enter the 2010 Essay Contest, sponsored by the Library Friends of San Diego County. Prizes will be awarded in each division to top entries on the theme "The Best Thing About My Library Is..." The contest runs through September 15.

Share Your San Diego Story

The People's Post would like to hear the story of your life in San Diego County. Your story will be videorecorded by a videographer, you will receive your story on a CD and it will be available to the public.
