Aurora Cudal is a bridge builder, community organizer, spiritual leader and advocate for social justice. An established health professional with a thriving career in the Philippines, she relocated to San Diego in the 1990s and began to ask what the Filipino community was doing to help people build better lives. Cudal spearheaded the development of the Filipino Help Center, which provides health referrals and counseling services and was the first center of its kind in San Diego. Cudal is widely recognized and remains actively engaged in the community. She currently serves as Chair of the San Diego Chapter of the National Federation of Filipino American Associations, mentors future generations, and is a regular columnist and news contributor to The Filipino Press, a weekly newspaper circulated in San Diego County and beyond. She has helped turn San Diego into a landmark for national empowerment of Filipinos.
