Borrego Springs Library Serves as Cool Zone With Extended Hours

With record breaking heat expected in San Diego County, the Borrego Springs Library is extending its open hours this week. Borrego Springs residents are encouraged to head to the library to enjoy free air conditioning, wireless internet access, and a broad selection of reading material. The library will be open regular business hours as well as the following extended hours:

San Diego County Library (SDCL) branches serve as official "Cool Zones" during the summer months, providing excellent service and resources to the people in need of a respite from overwhelming temperatures. County health officials urge the public to take precautions and use these county facilities.

"Our branches serving as Cool Zones represent our mission to develop healthy and safe communities," said Susan Moore, SDCL's Deputy Director.
