Tax Season is Coming

Tax season is coming, and San Diego County Library has you covered to ensure you are prepared to file your taxes.

Need tax forms? You can get tax forms from your neighborhood branch library (beginning in February), have them mailed from the IRS by calling 1-800-829-3676, or you can submit a request online.

If you need help completing your tax forms, call 2-1-1 for local tax help information and keep Get Your Refund on your radar to receive help online.

The IRS has forms, instructions, and information available in multiple languages on their website, in addition to an interactive tax assistance page

The IRS also has income-based free filing and fillable forms

If that wasn’t exciting enough, there is another option for income-based free filing with United Way. You can find more information at: www.myfreetaxes.org.

The IRS has extended the tax filing deadline to October 16, 2023; you can file with confidence as you explore these options.
