Cook With San Diego County Library: The Elder Scrolls

Our staff are hard at work trying out the best winter recipes from our collection of cookbooks!

Library Technician III Phil Coba prepared a whole meal from The Elder Scrolls: The Official Cookbook.

Here’s what he had to say:

“I decided to cook the Potato Cheddar Soup and the Baked White River Salmon. Both turned out delicious and use a unique blend of herbs and spices the book calls ‘Stormcloak Seasoning,’ named after one of the factions in the game.

My wife and I love the Elder Scrolls V Skyrim and have both played through the game several times. Now that the game is being re-re-released, we'll probably dive into it again!

This is an amazing cookbook for both fans of the franchise and people who've never played any of the games.

The recipes are not only well written and beautifully presented, but the book is also full of references to the world of Tamriel, making it a treat to read even if you don't plan on cooking them.”
