San Diego Circuit Upgrade

Beginning March 10, 2026 and continuing through Summer 2026, San Diego County Library will be temporarily pausing Circuit service for software system upgrades. We will be unable to place new Circuit requests during this time.

The last day to place Circuit requests will be Monday, March 9, 2026.  All requests placed on or before March 9, 2026 will be fulfilled as usual.

If you have a Circuit book checked out, please return it by the due date it so we may complete the upgrade work.

The Link+ system is not impacted by the San Diego Circuit upgrade. The Link+ catalog may be accessed here. 

Frequently Asked Questions

  • As a San Diego County Library cardholder, you can make online requests for books from University of California San Diego, University of San Diego, San Diego State University, Cal State San Marcos, and San Diego Public Library. Books requested through San Diego Circuit will be shipped to your local SDCL branch. This is a free service.

  • Yes, all requests placed on or before March 9, 2026 will be fulfilled as usual.   

  • You may enjoy the book for 3 weeks, plus 1 renewal, after which you are asked to return it so we may complete the upgrade work. If the book is not returned, it will be billed to your library card account.   

  • The Link+ system is not impacted by the San Diego Circuit upgrade. The Link+ catalog may be accessed here. 

    If the item you are interested in is not available via Link+, please contact any San Diego County Library branch during business hours and dial 3 to speak with staff. A staff member will assist you with more information about our Inter-Library Loan service.
