Donations Accepted at 10 County Library Branches
The County of San Diego Health & Human Services Agency is hosting a donation drive at 10 County Library branches from June 1 to June 15. Donations from community members can be dropped off at the following libraries: Santee, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Bonita-Sunnyside, Imperial Beach, Encinitas, Solana Beach, Poway, San Marcos, Vista.
Through this effort, the County of San Diego is offering a way for the community to show kindness and get involved during a time of need. These supplies will support asylum-seekers across San Diego County.
What items are needed for the donation drive?
Only new and unopened items are requested. The following items are most in need:
- Water
- Electrolyte drinks
- Baby formula
- Pop-top canned food
- Dry goods like granola bars, cereals
- Shelf stable food for infants and toddlers
- Squeezable food like apple sauce
- Individual ready-to-eat tuna
- Feminine hygiene items
- Blankets
- Body wipes
- Baby wipes
- Diapers
- Toilet paper
- Tarps
- Ziploc bags
- Trash bags
